Titleist Tips: Path Drill for Shaping Golf Shots

Posted in Ttileist

Learning to shape golf shots (purposely curving the ball left-to-right and right-to-left) is a great skill that can bring your golf game to the next level. Working the ball can help you find more fairways and attack more pins. There are many times, too, when you have to curve the ball to get out of trouble. And by knowing how to curve the ball both ways, you will also develop a keen sense for what it takes to hit the ball straight. Having all three shot shapes and developing this awareness of the clubface/path relationship is a must for skilled ball strikers. The great news is that you can develop these shot-shaping skills, too. Just use the simple drill that Titleist staff instructor John Kostis shares in this video. As John says, all it takes is three range balls and a healthy fear of embarrassment. Soon you’ll be drawing and fading the golf ball at will - and having a lot more fun when you add this bit of artistry to your game.
