Titleist Tips: A Foolproof Drill to Cure Your Slice

Posted in Ttileist

The slice is the bane of existence for many golfers. It’s typically caused by an over-the-top move that occurs when the upper body unwinds too early. The club gets steep, which forces the path of the swing to the left (for a right-handed golfer) and if the club face is open, the result is a weak high shot that curves severely left-to-right. You can get rid of your slice once and for all with the use of two 99-cent alignment sticks. In the video above, Titleist staff instructor Jonathan Yarwood shares a great drill that will teach you to initiate the downswing with your lower body and attack the ball from an inside path. You’ll start hitting more piercing shots that fly straight or even curve a little right-to-left.
