JIMENEZ REIGNS IN NATIVE SPAIN

Relying on PING’s latest technology, Spaniard Miguel Ángel Jiménez continues to play some of the best golf of his long career, winning the Open de España, his country’s national championship, in a playoff. It is his third victory since December.
With an i25 driver and fairway woods, S55 irons, Tour Gorge wedges, and a Scottsdale Pickemup putter, Jiménez won for the fifth time on home soil in earning his 21st European Tour title, and his 14th since the age of 40, a European Tour record. For a second time, he extended his own record as the oldest winner of a European Tour event at age 50 years and 133 days. His stated goal is to qualify on points to become the oldest European player in Ryder Cup history at the event this fall in Scotland.
